EAST COAST GREENWAY EXPEDITION - 2022

Starting on April 16th, 2022, and finishing on July 2nd, 2022, Shan ran nearly 3,000 miles from Key West to the Canadian border along the East Coast Greenway, making him the first person to run the entire trail. Shan was supported the entire route by his wife, Josh, who completed the Greenway by bicycle, towing their gear in a trailer. At the finish line in Calais, ME, Shan dropped to a knee and proposed to Josh who gleefully said yes.

The run/ride was to support the East Coast Greenway Alliance in its mission of connecting people to place. They raised almost $20,000 and brought a lot of attention to the East Coast Greenway. They had a lot of fun doing interviews (media coverage of the trip is below) and also captured details of their trip in blog posts.
