Making Memories
These two have done three running/cycling trips where Josh towed gear by bike while Shan ran 35-40 miles/day. The 9-day test run on the Erie Canalway Trail, which helped them plan their pivotal East Coast Greenway Expedition (ECGE), and their honeymoon trip on the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route (PCBR).
ECGE
The ECGE demonstrated how well the expedition model works, and also tightened their bond as a couple. So much so that they crossed the finish line side-by-side, and seconds later, Shan dropped to one knee and popped the question. Josh was surprised, thrilled, and giddy. Their engagement was captured on film (see picture here), and in a short film produced by their partners at the East Coast Greenway Alliance.

PCBR
They decided to treat the PCBR as their honeymoon. They experienced beautiful sunsets and numerous lovely dinners together. And together they faced some truly challenging moments and injuries that almost brought their trip to an end. They figured out a way to keep themselves (and each other) moving forward, and reached Imperial Beach smiling, healthy, but exhausted. Their happiness and excitement for what comes next is very clear in the Vancouver selfie (see below)
