This was Shan's first really big run and a lifelong dream. In 2020, Shan completed his first run across the USA with the support of friend, and fellow ultrarunner, Callie Vinson, who volunteered to crew and drive his campervan. Their journey drew a lot of attention (including a feature in Runner’s World!) and raised over $45,000 for FoodShare, making it Shan's most successful expedition-style fundraiser to date.
