Between April 16th, 2022, and July 2nd, 2022, Shan ran 2960 miles from Key West to the Canadian border along the East Coast Greenway, making him the first person to run the entire trail. Josh rode her bicycle alongside Shan, towing their gear in a trailer. When they reached the finish line in Calais, ME, Shan dropped to a knee and proposed to Josh (and she said yes!). 

 

The run/ride was to support the East Coast Greenway Alliance in its mission of connecting people to place. It raised almost $20,000 and brought a lot of media attention to the East Coast Greenway. We had a lot of fun doing interviews and also captured details of our trip in blog posts.
